🏡 Welcome to Laurel Valley — Abingdon, MD!

Welcome! We’re glad you’ve moved into Laurel Valley and hope this guide helps you quickly get settled with useful local info on trash/recycling, yard waste, mail, schools, and more.

🗑 Trash & Recycling

In Harford County (including Laurel Valley), the county doesn’t provide direct curbside trash pickup — you are required to use one of the licensed private trash haulers. Your trash service typically also includes recycling.

Here are commonly used licensed haulers:

  • 📞 Bartenfelder Sanitation Services — 410-457-5550

  • 📞 Casella (formerly GFL Environmental) — 410-457-0404

  • 📞 Harford County Trash Services — 443-841-6253

  • 📞 Republic Services — 800-284-7056

Ask your neighbors which hauler they use — many streets coordinate to keep collection days consistent.

🌿 Yard Waste

Most trash/recycling providers in Harford County do NOT handle yard waste (like leaves, grass clippings, brush, or branches). Instead, you can take yard trim to county drop-off sites:
